The Glob­al Elec­tron­ics Dis­trib­u­tors Asso­ci­a­tion (GEDA) comes on board the EDS Lead­er­ship Summit.

One of the elec­tron­ics com­po­nents industry’s top events gains a third mem­ber asso­ci­a­tion sponsor.

ALPHARET­TA, GA – The Elec­tron­ic Dis­trib­u­tors Sum­mit (EDS) announced that the new­ly formed Glob­al Elec­tron­ic Dis­trib­u­tors Asso­ci­a­tion (GEDA) will become the third spon­sor­ing asso­ci­a­tion of EDS, join­ing the Elec­tron­ics Rep­re­sen­ta­tive Asso­ci­a­tion Inter­na­tion­al (ERA) and the Elec­tron­ics Com­po­nents Indus­try Asso­ci­a­tion (ECIA). EDS is the orga­ni­za­tion that pro­duces the annu­al EDS Lead­er­ship Summit.

“We’re pleased that GEDA is reaf­firm­ing its sup­port of EDS and its impor­tance to our indus­try. We’re look­ing for­ward to their input and par­tic­i­pa­tion,” said ERA CEO Wal­ter Tobin. ​“GEDA’s addi­tion will also help us in expand­ing the Summit’s glob­al reach as the pre­mier indus­try event.”

GEDA will have two rep­re­sen­ta­tives on the EDS Board, a fact that pleas­es ECIA board mem­ber Mike Mor­ton, COO of TTI, an elec­tron­ics com­po­nents dis­trib­u­tor. ​“I am very pleased with the sup­port giv­en to the EDS Board of Direc­tors by both the ECIA and ERA asso­ci­a­tions. With the inclu­sion of GEDA, I think this a step for­ward in the col­lab­o­ra­tion of the three indus­try associations.”

The 2020 EDS Lead­er­ship Sum­mit will be held at the Mirage Hotel in Las Vegas from May 11 through May 15. Wide­ly con­sid­ered the pre­mier annu­al event for the inter­na­tion­al elec­tron­ics com­po­nents indus­try, the Sum­mit draws over 4,000 exec­u­tives from world’s lead­ing man­u­fac­tur­ers, dis­trib­u­tors and sales representatives.
