The Global Electronics Distributors Association (GEDA) comes on board the EDS Leadership Summit.
One of the electronics components industry’s top events gains a third member association sponsor.
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
ALPHARETTA, GA – The Electronic Distributors Summit (EDS) announced that the newly formed Global Electronic Distributors Association (GEDA) will become the third sponsoring association of EDS, joining the Electronics Representative Association International (ERA) and the Electronics Components Industry Association (ECIA). EDS is the organization that produces the annual EDS Leadership Summit.
“We’re pleased that GEDA is reaffirming its support of EDS and its importance to our industry. We’re looking forward to their input and participation,” said ERA CEO Walter Tobin. “GEDA’s addition will also help us in expanding the Summit’s global reach as the premier industry event.”
GEDA will have two representatives on the EDS Board, a fact that pleases ECIA board member Mike Morton, COO of TTI, an electronics components distributor. “I am very pleased with the support given to the EDS Board of Directors by both the ECIA and ERA associations. With the inclusion of GEDA, I think this a step forward in the collaboration of the three industry associations.”
The 2020 EDS Leadership Summit will be held at the Mirage Hotel in Las Vegas from May 11 through May 15. Widely considered the premier annual event for the international electronics components industry, the Summit draws over 4,000 executives from world’s leading manufacturers, distributors and sales representatives.
“EDS is the event for connecting executives of the electronic component industry supply chain,” said Bill Bradford, president and CEO of ECIA, “and we are excited to welcome GEDA’s support of this annual leadership summit.”
ABOUT THE EDS LEADERSHIP SUMMIT
EDS is the premier annual event for leaders and innovators in the international electronics industry. It brings together the manufacturers, distributors and representatives
of electronic components, instruments and accessories. It allows the brightest minds in the industry an opportunity to meet, make contacts and build their businesses. Suppliers of industry goods and services also are on hand to market their products.
The emphasis at EDS is on forging and maintaining business relationships through scheduled, one-on-one meetings. The event also offers important product exhibits, educational programming and networking opportunities. EDS is a combined effort and strongly supported by three of the industry’s leading member organizations — the Electronic Components Industry Association (ECIA), the Electronics Representatives Association International (ERA) and the Global Electronics Distributors Association (GEDA).
